Many of you may already be familiar with this recipe, but I had never made it before. We try to keep food storage recipes pretty simple on here (mostly for our own benefits, I think), but I seriously don't think it could get easier (or yummier) than this. Ready?
Would you believe that this:
Can equal these??:
Pumpkin Spice Cookies
1 box spice cake mix
1 can (15 oz) pumpkin puree
1/2 bag chocolate chips (I prefer milk chocolate, but any kind is fine)
Mix the three ingredients together. Bake at 330 degrees on a greased cookie sheet for 10-12 minutes.
Nope, it doesn't get much easier than that! Enjoy!

I do this all the time with a chocolate cake mix and make brownies. It is especially good with a Devil's food cake mix and chocolate chips. Just mix and bake at 350 degrees for about a half hour.
Mine came out too gooey. Maybe needed more time in the oven!
I make these all the time, my wife got the recipe from a friend. The hard part is getting the whole cookie fully cooked with out burning the bottom. A few suggestions. don't use a dark colored cookie sheet, it will cause the bottom to cook to fast. I use a cookie sheet called an AirBake that allows me to cook it way longer without burning the bottom, when using an AirBake I have to increase the cooking time because the cookies cook slower (about 20 minutes or more). It is because of these cookies that canned pumpkin, spice mix, and chocolate chips are in my food storage and not just in a small quantity.
