What I ate this week from my food storage...

Yes, I know you're all dying to know: could I have possibly thought of a less exciting title than that? The answer is no.

This week, I made Rice Pilaf as part of our menu. I made a few changes to the recipe because I was rotating it. The most important change was that I added cheese on top! What doesn't taste better with cheese? I also forgot to put in the onions (oops-not on purpose) and just used one can of mixed veggies.

It was delicious. If I was eating straight out of my food storage, I wouldn't have served the vegetable side, because there are vegetables in the pilaf.

What did you make this week from your food storage? Post about it on your blog and leave your link below!

Note: Please remember that this rotation link is to share what meal you or your family cooked out of your food storage this week. Links promoting merchandise or websites will be deleted. Please link directly to your 3-Month Supply Rotation post.

Well...I have used powdered milk, dried onions and garlic, from our longer term storage and numerous other items from our 3 month supply. I try to constantly rotate all our food storage. This week, I'm trying to buy as few groceries as possible, so we can buy other items for home repairs.

What I ate from my food storage this week--

everything! (except for those things that we ate from our garden).

We have been living primarily on our food storage for almost 2 1/2 years now.

We had carrot cake (made with powdered eggs), bean tacos (with lettuce from the garden), oatmeal (made with powdered milk), waffles, pancakes, tomato soup, crepes, and, well, everything! I'll leave you a link to our crepes. This week we put home canned pear butter on them.
