Day 2 Giveaway.... CSN Stores

**This giveaway is now closed**
Today's giveaway is brought to us by CSN Stores.  CSN Stores is a great website that offers everything from track lighting to...... you guessed it, food storage items!  They also have the website Cookware.com, which is a fun place to shop around online for all your kitchen needs.

One of the biggest difficulties I have with food storage is wheat.  How do you cook it?  How do you eat it?  And how long does wheat flour actually last?  Thankfully, writing on this blog for the last two years has helped me out a lot with these questions, but wheat is still a bit of a challenge for me. And speaking of wheat flour.... how am I supposed to grind my wheat if I'm out of power?

Well, today CSN Stores is giving away a Back to Basics Grain Mill!  Perfect for when you need wheat flour and don't have an electric grinder, or if you are without power.

To enter this giveaway, leave a comment on this post and answer the following question (I know, it has nothing to do with food storage but this could be fun):

What is your favorite kitchen gadget?

Right now, mine is probably my blender.  I use it for everything from milkshakes to hummus to baby food.  Anyway, I love kitchen gadgets and I'm always on the lookout for things that will make my life easier - so tell me what your favorites are!

One comment per person, please.  This giveaway is open until Thursday, June 3 at 9 a.m. EDT.  We'll announce the winner (via Random.org) here on the blog before Thursday's giveaway opens up.

Thanks again to CSN Stores for this awesome giveaway!

    ReplyDelete
  48. My Kitchen-aid mixer. I never dared make bread before I got it, now I can!

    ReplyDelete

It's going strong after 7 years (I've probably been through about 6 or 7 regular blenders before it.) My goal is to use it for other things. It does so much more and I haven't even tried. :(

    ReplyDelete
  50. I use my food processor nearly every day. Love it!!

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  56. My favorite gadget is my mini-whisk. It helps making gravy be a cinch!

    ReplyDelete
  57. My favorite is the old donut maker I inherited from my Mom. You fill the tube with donut batter, squeeze the plunger, and a round tire of batter eases down into the hot fat. (I can't seem to make them as symmetrical as Mom could, but my kids don't care!) I love it that it was hers, that it's so practical, and that I remember using it when I was very young. It's a "Grandma tradition" I can carry on with my kids now that Mom is gone.

    ReplyDelete

    Good luck to everyone!
Thanks for the opportunity to win.

    ReplyDelete
  87. My favorite gadget is my mom's old blender. In our family it was called "The Osterizer" (made by Oster) and I sometimes find myself saying I am going to "osterize" something. It has a solid metal base and it is heavy as a horse, and I am crazy about it. I think it will last forever.

    ReplyDelete
  98. My favorite gadget has to be my cast iron skillet...I know for most it may not qualify as a gadget, but I have recently discovered so many ways to use it instead of on top of the oven - in it, on a grill, over a fire, on top of the stove and clean up is a snap and its now probably the most used tool I have in my kitchen.

    ReplyDelete
  99. It's not really a gadget, but I love my griddle. It has helped me mass produce grilled cheese, pancakes, and french toast for the troops. Troops being my hungry kids, of course.
